Nemco Food Equipment was founded in 1976 in Hicksville, Ohio by Ed Neidhardt, together with his brother Gene and father Earl, starting out as a small machine shop. The company's first product, the Spiral Fry curly-fry cutter, was introduced in 1981 after a local restaurant owner asked for a machine to cut curly-shaped fries. Nemco remains headquartered in Hicksville, Ohio and is now a third-generation, family-owned business led by Chairman Kenny Moffatt and President Luke Moffatt. The company designs and manufactures countertop foodservice equipment, including food-prep machines (slicers, cutters, dicers), hot dog cooking and merchandising equipment, food warmers, ovens, toasters, waffle and cone bakers, energy-efficient induction ranges, and industrial food-waste disposers.
