About the Manufacturer

Dart Container Corporation traces back to 1937, when W.F. Dart founded a machine shop in Mason, Michigan. The company's breakthrough came in 1960 with the invention of the foam cup, and it remains family-controlled today, with the Dart family still represented on its board. Dart now operates roughly 20 manufacturing facilities across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and beyond, employing thousands of people. In 2012, Dart acquired SOLO Cup Company, adding the iconic red SOLO cup and a full paper cup line to its foodservice packaging portfolio, which spans foam, PET, OPS, HIPS, and polypropylene containers, cutlery, cups, lids, and compostable molded-fiber products.
