The Imperial ITG-36 boasts a durable stainless steel construction and precise thermostatic controls that allow for consistent cooking temperatures with every use. It runs on natural gas and includes a spanning rear flue. Its gas burners are ignited by a continuous pilot and are aided by aeration baffles for even heat distribution. The 1-inch thick polished steel plate retains heat longer than thinner plates.

The Imperial ITG-36 is designed for commercial countertop use, with four 4-inch stainless steel legs to support and elevate the unit. All sides, front, ledge, and splash guards are also constructed with stainless steel for durability. Grease is effectively drained away from food into a 4-inch-wide gutter and collected in a spacious, removable 1-gallon grease can. The cooking surface measures 36 inches wide by 24 inches deep, while the full griddle is 36 inches wide by 323/8 inches deep by 14 inches tall.
